Gavin has been associated with the counselling and addiction field since 1989, and has been a professional counsellor for the last ten years. He specialises in relationship counselling, unresolved childhood grief and addiction, is a member of DAPAANZ, and has worked in both residential and outpatient agencies. Gavin also has specialised experience working with benzodiazepine addiction. Gavin is currently studying psychosynthesis. This is a therapy which forms a framework of psychospiritual psychology. Gavin receives ongoing professional supervision, works within the ethical boundaries of DAPAANZ and NZAC and is a registered practitioner. Luce-Anne JuneauDirector

Luce-Anne is our financial administrator and technical support person. She has a background in information technology and uses her skills and knowledge in this area to provide the backup and support required to run a successful agency.
Luce-Anne is also part of our clinical team. She is furthering her study and personal growth and has completed the Fundamentals of Psychosynthesis and the Foundations Year Programme at the Institute of Psychosynthesis NZ, and has completed four papers towards a Certificate in Counselling Theory through Massey University. In addition she has been volunteering as an NZQA-qualified telephone counsellor since July 2010.
Aniela Pojar

Aniela works with clients of all ages dealing with depression, anxiety, stress, trauma, eating disorders, relationship issues, and substance abuse.
She uses an eclectic counselling/creative therapy approach to support her clients in moving through difficult life circumstances and emotions, making positive changes, finding resolution and enjoying life through accessing their creative selves.
Aniela has a particular interest in identity, personal development, relationship issues, and body image. She believes that people can change by becoming more accepting and loving of who they are.
Aniela is a provisional member of the New Zealand Association of Counsellors (NZAC) and she receives regular supervision and works within the ethical boundaries of NZAC and DAPAANZ.
Andrew Bunting

Andrew has experience supporting people through problems with grief, depression, anxiety, anger, self-esteem, and relationships, and has assisted people to make changes to drug and alcohol use and problems with gambling. Andrew also continues to work with couples to mediate child custody arrangements after separation.
Andrew works predominantly from a Cognitive Behavioural (CBT) approach, however draws upon other approaches if they better fit either the person or the changes they wish to make.
Andrew is currently studying Counselling Psychology at Auckland University of Technology and continues to receive ongoing supervision and attends regular workshops.
Jennifer O'Loughlin

Jennifer comes from a general counselling background with previous roles in agencies, Penrose High School and CADS alcohol & drug service, where she has worked with a broad range of clients, ages, cultures and issues. Jennifer supports and works with her clients through life issues including: self-esteem, depression, relationship issues, anxiety and stress, grief, interpersonal difficulties and addictions.
She is a member of NZAC - New Zealand Association of Counsellors (provisional member) and is commitmed to clients’ wellbeing. She undertakes regular clinical and group supervision, and upholds NZAC Code of Ethics.
Jennifer is passionate about advocacy and prevention work in the community. Jennifer is also committed to ongoing professional and personal development to further her growth.
Irene Ho

Irene brings a multi-cultural perspective to Riverstone Counselling. Irene works with people of all ages from children to older adults, male and female, individual and family groups of diverse social background, religious beliefs and ethnicity. Irene speaks English, Cantonese, and Mandarin. Irene holds various positions, including being in a leadership role with a community-sponsored agency providing counselling to the Chinese community, and also with another agency working with children to grow through grief after traumatic events. Irene works with stakeholders such as CADS and WINZ.
Irene has qualifications in addiction counselling, including substance use and misuse, CBT, assessment and treatment planning, and gambling.
Irene is a member of NZAC - New Zealand Association of Counsellors. She undertakes regular clinical and group supervision and upholds the NZAC Code of Ethics.
